Oatmeal Chocolate RAISINETS Cookies

This recipe is better-for-you than standard chocolate chip cookie recipes because it is lower in fat and a source of complex carbohydrates.
You will need:

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190 °C). Grease baking sheets.
Step 2:
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. Beat brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter and applesauce in large bowl until smooth. Beat in egg whites and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, nuts and RAISINETS; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets.
Step 3:
Bake for 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
