Tiramisu

Preparation: 30 min  Chill: 2-8 hours

This classic dessert is fun to make and irresistible to eat!

 

 

 


You will need:

6 pasteurized* egg yolks 6
3 tbsp sugar 45 ml
1 pound Mascarpone cheese      450 g
1 1 1/2 cups strong NESCAFÉ Espresso, cooled 375 ml
24 lady fingers 24
1/2 cup NESTLÉ NOIR Intense chocolate shavings 125 ml
1 box (50 g) NESTLÉ SMARTIES 1

Step 1:
In a large bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar using an electric mixer until thick and pale, about 5 minutes. Add mascarpone cheese and beat until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon of coffee and mix until thoroughly combined.  

Step 2:
In a shallow dish, add remaining coffee. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee - letting the ladyfingers soak too long will cause them to fall apart. Place the dipped ladyfingers on the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch (3.5 L) baking dish - break them in half if necessary to fit around the bottom of the dish.

Step 3:
Spread evenly half of the mascarpone mixture over the lady fingers. Arrange another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with remaining mascarpone mixture.

Step 4:
Cover tiramisu with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 8 hours. Before serving, sprinkle with NESTLÉ NOIR Intense chocolate shavings. Add colour by topping up each serving with a SMARTIES. Enjoy!
