Roasted Red Pepper & Black Olive Bruschetta

This traditional party appetizer pairs well with our NESTEA Sangria.

 

 

You will need:

1 prepared recipe of the grilled garlic bread 1
1/2 cup  roasted red peppers, cut into thin strips 125 ml
1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives, sliced lengthwise 125 ml
1/4 cup red wine vinegar 50 ml
salt & fresh ground pepper to taste

Step 1:
Place prepared bread on a large platter for serving.

Step 2:
Toss roasted red peppers and olives with vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3:
Divide prepared mixture evenly among bread slices.

Makes 24 servings

Nutrients per serving (per 1slice): about 90 calories, 2 g protein, 5 g fat, 9 g carbohydrate.

Good to Know: Using a whole wheat baguette will provide your body with more nutrients, such as fibre, than a white baguette would. Canada’s Food Guide recommends making at least half of your grain products, whole grains every day.
