Preparation: 20 min Cook: 10 min
A delicious and simple garlic bread that works as a great base for bruschetta. Try PERRIER Party Punch to compliment this traditional appetizer.
You will need:
| 1 |
white or whole wheat baguette |

| 1 |
whole garlic head |
3-4 |
| 1/2 cup |
extra virgin olive oil for drizzling |
125 ml
|
|
coarse salt & fresh ground black pepper

Step 1:
Diagonally slice baguette into 1/2 inch (1 cm) slices and place on an ungreased grill. Toast on each side for 3- 5 minutes on medium heat. (If you don’t have a grill, broil bread until golden brown, about 1 minute per side).
Step 2:
Remove bread from grill and immediately rub the cut side of a head of garlic; the warmth of the bread releases the garlic’s aroma.
Step 3:
On a cutting board or baking sheet, drizzle or brush oil generously over toasted bread. Sprinkle each piece with salt and pepper. Serve plain or with your favourite toppings.

Nestlé Kitchens Tip: Using high heat while grilling will create instant brown lines without toasting the bread; low heat will slow the toasting process, which will result in black grill marks.
